CineStill 800T and a Mamiya 7 / Mamiya 7 II

Zine: Update

Cinestill 800 T is a wonderful film stock. Every time I get my photos back and scan them, I am in shock with what I see. This film is so good! It has a unique look, it’s not tacky (to me at least), and it has a grittiness and dirtiness to it (maybe that also has to do with my subject matter). It gets me so pumped and makes me want to go out a shoot more. It shines in low-light situations but I have seen some great photos taken indoors and during the daytime as well. The only problem with this film is that it’s not available all the time. So horde it.

It’s hard to say when I’ll be done with this project. I’ll probably shoot through winter. It’s hard to go out when it’s freezing and shoot for a couple of hours so it might take a little longer than expected. I’ll keep updating from time to time and share some of the photos on Instagram.

I am shooting with a Mamiya 7 and a Mamiya 7 II. Most of these photos were taken with a tripod but there are a few that were taken handheld. Some of my Cinestill is expired as as well but I have kept it refrigerated and it holds up pretty well.
