Photos from New York City and the Surrounding areas
Lockdown, quarantine, stay in place, pause or whatever you want to call this situation during the pandemic has been tough on us all. For me creatively it’s been a challenge but I decided to push myself to photograph. Trying to find a balance to what is appropriate to photograph during this time was an inner struggle. I decided not to focus on the emptiness but what I would have normally shot if everything was normal. Having a car helped, being able to leave the city to get away from it all was a definite plus.
Mostly shot with my Mamiya 7 and Mamiya 7ii. I did snag a few rolls with my Hasselblad 500cm (been digging the square format lately) and a few rolls of 35mm on my Leica M4. I will share more photos in another post. Enjoy :)
